The Board

Within EWB Princeton, there is also an executive board that serves as administration for all the teams. The board consists of project managers and other members from each team serving for yearly terms in different roles.

  • Isabella Gomes

    Co-President

    Isa is a member of the Class of 2025 studying Civil and Environmental Engineering and pursuing a certificate in Urban Studies. She joined the EWB Kenya team in the beginning of her freshman year and has loved being involved and traveling with the team. Isa is also the Treasurer for the Brazil Society on campus and loves cooking Brazilian dishes and sweets.

  • Sonia Hasko

    Co-President

    Sonia is a member of the Class of 2026 and is majoring in Chemical and Biological Engineering with a minor in Materials Science and Engineering. She has been involved with EWB since her freshman year, when she joined the Peru team, and this is her second year being a Technical Team leader. She's extremely excited to lead the chapter with Isa and has enjoyed getting to know people from the other two EWB teams! Outside of EWB, Sonia is involved with various cultural groups and CBE research.

  • Helena Frudit

    Co-Director of Strategy

    Helena is a member of the Class of 2025 and is majoring in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and pursuing a certificate in Sustainable Energy. She has been involved with EWB since the beginning of freshman year on the Kenya team and can’t wait to go back to Kuria West to engage with the community with exciting projects! Outside of EWB, Helena is also involved with J-Lats and the Brasil Society and loves traveling and exploring coffee shops.

  • Sophia Miller

    Co-Director of Strategy

    Sophia is a sophomore majoring in Chemical and Biological Engineering and minoring in Quantitative Economics. She's been involved with Engineers Without Borders since the beginning of freshman year, when she joined the Kenya team. She got to travel to Kenya for their project's assessment phase last summer, and she's been working as the team's Communications Lead. She's also a member of the club softball team and the social chair of American Society of Chemical Engineering at Princeton.

  • Joanna Tafolla

    Director of Crowdfunding / Peru Co-Project Manager

    Hello! I'm Joanna Tafolla, a current sophomore in the Civil and Environmental Department. I was born and raised in Chicago, IL. Besides being the EWB Director of Crowdfunding and Co-PM for the EWB Peru Team, I am also one of the co-chairs for USG Projects Board. There aren two main things that make me happy in this world, (1) coffee and (2) buildings/bridges. I can't wait to see the EWB community grow!

  • Yizhen Wang

    Co-Director of Social and Public Outreach

    Yizhen is part of the class of 2026 in the CEE department on the architectural engineering track. She is looking forward to planning the social events for this year and gathering new members. Outside of EWB, she tutors and is part of Princeton Pop Up.

  • Makailee Henry

    Co-Director of Social and Public Outreach

    Makailee is a member of the class of 2027 that hails from Seattle and is majoring in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. She hopes to fly planes as a commercial airline pilot, or, if not that, then build them one day. Makailee likes binge-watching British mystery tv shows and trying to uncover the culprit before the detective does (spoiler alert: she rarely ever does).

  • Fallon Rowerdink

    Director of IT and Social Media

    Fallon is part of the Class of 2026 majoring in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering with a possibly certificates in European Cultural Studies and Applied Math. She joined EWB she sophomore year on the Ecuador team and is now one of the Technical Assistant Leads. Outside of EWB, Fallon tutors at the McGraw Center and is part of the Student Agencies. She enjoys spending time working on various creative projects and baking.

  • Elise Taylor

    Secretary

    Elise is a member of the Class of 2027 studying Civil and Environmental Engineering and pursuing certificates in French and Planets and Life. She joined the Kenya team her freshman year and serves as a Technical Team Co-Lead for the team. She is excited to work on engineering projects that prioritize collaboration with local communities. Outside of EWB, Elise is involved in the Princeton Garden Project and Princeton Conservation Society, and she loves hiking and being outside!

  • Dorothy Chan

    Ecuador Co-Project Manager

    Dorothy is part of the Class of 2026 majoring in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering with a certificate in sustainable energy. She is passionate about making access to natural resources more accessible through the intersection between engineering and humanitarianism. Outside of EWB, Dorothy enjoys filmmaking and exploring new places on her runs.

  • Ashley Holmes

    Ecuador Co-Project Manager

    Ashley Holmes '26 is a sophomore from southern Indiana. She is majoring in Civil and Environmental Engineering. In addition to Engineers without borders, she is an Outdoor Action Leader on campus.

    Sriya is a member of the Class of 2026 majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering.

  • Shalyn Nyakea

    Kenya Co-Project Manager

    Shalyn is a member of the Class of 2025, majoring in Civil and Environmental Engineering. She has been involved with the EWB Kenya team since her first year and was part of the travel team last summer. Shalyn is also a member of the Society of African Internationals at Princeton.
